We had a blast riding our Segways around San Francisco. It was a fantastic way to get around the city and see a lot of sights. My only wish was that I could have taken pictures while in motion...maybe they will come out with a helmet-cam that customers could rent..who knows. I would highly recommend this to anyone and I already have. My wife and I have talked about when not if we will do this again. The Segway is a unique piece of machinery. It's use is so intuitive. This was our second tour with this company. Both tours (regular and sunset tour) were a blast. Our tour guide, Christopher Robinson, was a bright and energetic young man with a wonderfully witty sense of humor. He helped us to feel like we were a part of the tour, and not just tourists. The city is spectacular and I can't think of any better way to see the sights than on a segway (especially with all the hills)! By far this was my teenage son and my favorite thing about our trip to San Francisco! We went on a bay cruise, rode the cable cars, went to Alcatraz, the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and the Winchester Haunted House; nothing compared to the fun we had riding the Segways around town! The guide was great with my 13 year old son and it is all he has talked about to his friends since we got home. We plan to come back to town in a few months so that we can take the advanced tour. This was the first time my family had been on a Segway, and it was amazing. The tour took us places we didn't get to see on any other tour, and we all had a great time. I wish we could have stayed in town longer for another tour. I would definitely recommend this tour. P.S. I really liked the tour guide, I think his name was Chris from Paso Robles, CA. The San Francisco Segway Night Tour is a fun new way to explore San Francisco at night.
Tours includes 35-45 minutes of orientation and training. We offer the 1st Segway tour of San Francisco! Ages 12 and up. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds. Reservations required.
Please indicate an alternate Night tour date in the event that your preferred tour is full or unavailable.
AGE /WEIGHT / RIDER REQUIREMENTS: To All Guests for the Segway Tour: All guests must be age 12 or older AND weigh between 100-250 lbs. (46-115 klilos) No pregnant guests. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian on the tour. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.
For rider safety please no flip flops, sandals or high heel shoes.
Night Tour Departure Times and Dates :
Fall and Winter: November - March: 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday Nights - We will add additional days with a tour of 4 or more riders.
Spring and Summer: April until October: 7:30 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights. We will add additional days with a tour of 4 or more riders.

LOCATION: Segway Night Tours depart from the rear parking lot at 757 Beach Street near the corner of Hyde Street. Located across Beach Street from the Hyde Street Cable Car turn around in Fisherman's Wharf. A Wells Fargo Bank ATM is at the entrance to our training area.
Important: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in and start your tour and training on time. The tour and training will last 2 to 2 1/2 hours. The night tour stops for lots of pictures. Tours are limited to ten riders. Reservations are required.
Return Details:
Tour concludes at the original departure point in Fisherman's Wharf.
Payment:
Payment in advance by major credit card; Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Card. An additional damage deposit must be secured with a Credit Card upon check in for your tour.

This tour must be booked at least 12 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation and E-Ticket travel voucher for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability. Who can ride a Segway? Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?

Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike-it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why we offer 35-45 minutes of training so you can get familiar with riding a Segway. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues.
Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate.
All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail.
A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions. This activity is not recommended for guests age 70 and up.
The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds(46-113 kilos.) Helmets and reflective vests are provided and required.
We do require that all riders be at least 12 years old. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
Liability Agreement:
All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.
Changes to a Reservation, Cancellation and No Show Policy:
Reservations require a full deposit via Credit Card. Your confirmation
for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to
availability. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the specific date
and time of your tour. Deposits are fully refundable if the reservation
is canceled 3 days -72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. We
have a limited amount of Segways for tour use. No Shows are charged in
full. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any reason and bookings
cannot be changed within 72 hours of your scheduled tour. A signed
liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.
IMPORTANT Check your Confirmation for Correct Date and Time:
It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.

Segway tours are conducted in English.
Meals Souvenirs and Miscellaneous Costs:
Tour prices do not include Meals, Beverages, Admission Fees, Tolls or Souvenirs.
Tour Size, Routing and Weather:
We reserve the right to change the size or routing of the tour to meet demands for that specific day. San Francisco is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, light rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoon temperatures can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog or weather obscures the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour.
Hotel Pick Up:
We do not offer Hotel Pick up service for our tours.
