• Use this page to purchase your 2 for 1 Loops. You will receive email confirmation for Open ticket(s) vaild for any one of the departure times.

• We will then make a time specific reservation for Alcatraz Ticket(s) as a second reservation-based on availability. This will be a separate charge from The 2 for 1 Loops. See combined totals below. When booking you will be given the option to select an approximate Alcatraz departure time. Ferries depart regularly from 9:00am - 4:00pm in Summer Months and 9:00am - 2:00pm in Winter Months.

• You will receive 2 Confirmation emails. One for your 2 for 1 Loops and One for your Alcatraz Tour. Please print both emailed confirmations. Confirmation process is now complete. Print and present both confirmations upon arrival.

Ferry to Alcatraz and Alcatraz Island Tour

After a short 10 minute ferry ride from Pier 33 across San Francisco Bay you will arrive on the infamous Alcatraz Island. The tour includes a movie of Alcatraz history and a 35 minute audio headset tour of an Alcatraz cell block.

Cruise aboard the ferry to the infamous and notorious former federal prison - home to the likes of Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelley, and Robert "The Birdman" Stroud. The National Park presents a captioned orientation video with historical footage, self-guided walks, exhibits and Ranger-interpretive talks on topics such as "Famous Escapes." Also featured is an Award-winning audio tour in the prison Cell House with actual interviews of former guards and inmates - available in six languages - English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

To reach the Cell House, you must walk up a steep hill. In addition to the famous prison, Alcatraz features some of the most spectacular views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge from the beautifully landscaped Agave Trail.

After the tour there is time to visit the Alcatraz Museum, the bookshop and explore the island. Stay as long as you like ferries depart every 1/2 hour back to San Francisco. Average time spent on Alcatraz is 1 1/2 - 3 hours.

Please note: The walk to the Alcatraz Cellhouse is on steep, uneven pavement. Sustainable Easy Access Transport is available, free of cost, for wheelchair users and visitors unable to walk up the quarter mile, 12% upgrade. No animals, except certified service animals are allowed on Alcatraz Island.

DOUBLE DECKER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Guest can board the Downtown Double Decker Bus at two convenient locations. Meet at either Union Square: Meet at Union Square in front of Macy's on the Geary Street Side. OR Fisherman's Wharf: Ticket Office at 2800 Leavenworth Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 between Jefferson and Beach Streets.

• Paid parking and limited metered parking are available in The Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square Area.

• Buses are not handicapped accessible. Wheelchairs and motorized chairs cannot be accommodated on the buses.

ALCATRAZ FERRY AND ISLAND IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Alcatraz Ferry departs from Pier 33 along the San Francisco Embarcadero. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time for boarding.

• On-street parking in the Fisherman's Wharf area can be hard to find, and nearly every space has a parking meter. Parking meters take nickels, dimes and quarters. Commerical Parking: There are fifteen commercial lots with a five-block radius of the Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33, with a total of more than 3,000 parking spaces. The closest and most convenient lot is at 80 Francisco at Kearny, just one block away, across the Embarcadero from Alcatraz Landing.

• Handicap Accessibility: Visitors unable to make the climb up Alcatraz's roads may take advantage of SEAT - Sustainable Easy Access Transport - an electric shuttle that meets each scheduled arrival at the Alcatraz dock and transports visitors requiring mobility assistance from the dock to the prison building. SEAT returns visitors requiring mobility assistance from the prison building back to the dock at regular intervals throughout the day. Visitors requiring mobility assistance may be accompanied by one attendant in their party if space is available. Families with small children and strollers cannot be accommodated on SEAT. The following areas are completely wheelchair accessible: Alcatraz dock area, Prison building main floor, All bookstores, Museum displays and Island theater.

• The Alcatraz Ferry operates year round. Reservations are limited to 8 tickets and are available for purchase for the next 60 days. If you book 60 or more days in advance we will process your sightseeing tour reservation now and hold and book the Alcatraz Ferry as the dates are released to the public. Day Alcatraz Ferry and Tour Rates: $26.00 for adult and juniors 12-61. $24.50 for seniors 62+ and $16.00 for children 5-11. This tour must be booked 24 hours in advance. You will receive an immediate confirmation email with an E-Ticket Voucher for your Double Decker Tour. Print this voucher and present the SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers. Your voucher must be printed. No Exceptions.

Alcatraz Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

You will be receiving a separate confirmation email within 12-24 Hours with Alcatraz Tickets and all necessary details. Alcatraz Tickets are only available for booking for the next 90 days. Confirmation of Alcatraz Tickets, that are booked 90 days or more in advance, will be sent when tickets become available for booking.

Double Decker Cancellation Policy:

All Double Decker sales are final. No refunds or cancellations. In the event the tour is canceled, by the tour operator, the ticket price will be refunded.

Alcatraz Tickets are Final Sale. Any changes to your Alcatraz departure time must be done 48 hours prior to your Alcatraz Cruise date. The National Park Pass is not applicable to the Alcatraz Tour.
